Camden Mini Meet 05/06/10
So today is a saturday, a weekend, that means no work, brilliant! And
wow, it was a scorching day, superb!Ok, so today I travelled into Camden today to meet up with some of my freinds and fellow doll owners. I arrived at a little after midday, and met up with Shibby and Mau and we headed over to the Edinboro Castle pub to relax and meet up with everyone else. We were soon joined by d.ark and EmmJay, and a little later Sarah and Xyn. So we all sat down, unpacked our dolls, action figures and cameras.
We passed the next few hours just chatting, snapping pics and playing with each others dolls, Mau had to leave abit early, and we were sorry to see her go, but needs must.

After our nearly 6 hour session and lunch at the pub we moved on to go to a nearby Japanese for dinner that d.ark and husband had visited previously. Shibby moved on to do her own thing, so once d.ark's hubby joined us there were six for dinner (I will have to find out where we actually went XD). The dinner was absolutely amazing, I had a Sushi set and some Miso soup as well as some bizzare but tasty fizzy japanese milk drink, or something? Someone needs to clarify this for me.
We all chatted over dinner, it was nice and relaxing and I got to talk random science and other useless facts at people, and over all amused them, which is what counts!
After dinner we all parted ways to go home, and the hour and a half seemed quite dull compared to the excited journey on the way in. Well nothing I can do about that, but still a great day! Thanks again to everyone that came along! More photos here!
Dollfie Dream Airi! 31/05/10
As of May 29th 2010 I am now the proud owner of my fourth Dollfie
Dream, Airi from Queen's Blade! After getting Yoko, and then having a look around the massive selection of DD's, I came across Airi. The moment I saw her in dollfie form I knew I had to have her! I had just a few months before starting picking up some Queen's Blade battle books after seeing Airi and Melona somewhere on the net, and by then also had an Airi revoltech figure, and a nice big static figure too, so a dollfie was clearly the ultimate piece of Airi to get my hands on.
Getting a dollfie Airi was no walk in the park. I spent a good few months loitering on yahoo japan auctions, and the closest I got was seeing her scythe. I found her on eBay, being sold for the rediculously marked up price of around £2,500, unattainable.
So after long months of searching, I had added to my girls a DD Mashiro Mito straight from Volks, and then later a second DD Mashiro, but still no Airi. I was fed up of searching Y!J, and thought to myself, 3 dollfies is more than enough for now, I had never planned on getting more than one really...
Then my fellow london DD collector, d.ark, spotted Airi on Y!J. Well we immeadiately set about bidding, and happily I won her, for a fair bit less than I expected as well. I was, needless to say, incredibly happy!
Anyway, roll forward to Expo, sat 29th May, and I picked up Airi from d.ark, and she was a gorgeous as I had hoped. I spent most of the rest of the day adoring her ^^

And as I bring this to a close she is sitting with me as I continue to add to my new website ^^
